Dr. Maypole is the Vice Chair of the Pediatrics Department, and Director of the Comprehensive Care Program at Boston Medical Center (BMC), serving kids with complex and chronic illness. He is Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Boston University School of Medicine. In addition to being a physician, Dr. Maypole is an educator, writer, and advocate on child health issues. Dr Maypole serves state and private organizations supporting children and families. And, in part reflecting what he encounters in those travels (and to an extent, working through his issues), he is a prolific cartoonist. He is happiest launching yet another misadventure with his wife and three children.
